In October 2021, project coordinator Prof. Dr. Maike Schindler and project members Prof. Dr. Demetra Pitta-Pantazi, Prof. Dr. Achim J. Lilienthal, Dr. Eleni Demosthenous, Lukas Baumanns, and several student assistants were at a primary school in Nicosia, Cyprus, to conduct a pilot study. The purpose of the pilot study was to develop and test further the tasks developed in the first pilot study in Germany. To this end, eye tracking was used. In addition, a preliminary version of the DIDUNAS-app was tested in a real environment with first graders at this early stage of the DIDUNAS project. Findings from this pilot study will be used to further develop the app in preparation for the main study in 2022.
